Health and Wellness play an important role at LVS

We believe that success goes hand in hand with health and wellness and so at LVS we keep health and well-being of our community on top priority. For this a wide range of resources are available and accessible in campus around the clock to make sure that students and employees stay physically healthy and emotionally well.

Health and fitness benefits at all levels of life and physical activity helps to develop self-esteem, teamwork and concentration. Students build an appreciation and understanding of natural environment and learn valuable survival skills.

Campus Health Unit

On-campus health care unit offers students general medicine, urgent care, regular health checkups and more. The Medical Care Unit has 6 beds and is well equipped to handle routine health matters. There is a qualified doctor and three full time, qualified nurses in attendance during school hours. The school maintains a health record for every child, which is updated annually. There are annual checkups for height, weight, vision and specialists are brought in for hearing/audio checkups.

 

Health Insurance

LVS offers health insurance to campus community for safe and better future. Many employees are benefitted by the health coverage under various insurance plans.

Student and Staff Wellness Programs

Multiple wellness programs like rededication day, meditation day, women's day, environment day and many more are conducted at LVS to keep students and staff healthy and thriving.

Recreational Sports

Recreational sports focus on physical fitness and healthy lifestyle behaviour. The campus has good indoor and outdoor sports facilities which include playing fields for cricket, soccer, 400 m track field athletics and handball. There are courts for Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Khokho, Hockey etc and students also enjoy board games like carrom and chess.

Opportunities for team games and physical training are facilitated by trained physical instructors. Students practice yoga under the guidance of yoga teachers. Gymnastics and fitness classes are also conducted regularly. The students are also provided training in Swimming, Horse riding, Trekking, Mountaineering, Skating, March pass, etc.

Annual sports meet are organized to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
